This is a big year in my little girls life…double digits!! Yikes! I can hardly believe she is 10 already. In honor of this momentous occasion, we had to have a super awesome party….no, make that a super SWEET party! We could think of no more fitting location than our favorite cupcake shop in Cupids, NL. The Sweet Shoppe!
At the Sweet Shoppe they offer a fabulous cake decorating party. What could be more perfect for a group of crafty tween girls?! Each girl got to decorate their own 6″ cake with expert instruction from Sweet Shoppes owner, Elizabeth Pilgrim.
The girls all seemed to have a fabulous time and were quite proud of their creations, which they got to take home in a perfect pink box, to share ( or not!), with their families

I made up the loot bags using simple pink paper bags tied up with a sparkly candy striped ribbon and filled them with goodies such as cupcake notebooks and candy-flavoured lip gloss. A perfect treat to end a lovely party!
A fabulous party! What a great idea—-looks like these Tweens will be fantastic cake decorators!
It was indeed a wonderful party…the girls all did an amazing job on their cakes! I’d say the Cake Boss will have some good competition in the future
