Sorry I haven’t posted in awhile, I’ve been busy busy with client projects since the New Year rolled in 
. I haven’t forgotten my promise to keep some simple decorating tips coming in my recurring blog series, Simply Style. Today I wanted to share the SIMPLEST of ideas if you’re looking to dress up a small window but don’t know how to sew and have a limited budget.
Here’s the tip…..Table Runners! Yes, that’s right, table runners! They are inexpensive, can be found readily made in a huge variety of colours and patterns, and best of all, they come in just the right size for a window valence. All you need is a decorative rod and some matching curtain clips to put it up on your window….could not be simpler!
The extra fabric length , simply folded ,adds an elegant touch to the window.
Before a basic (boring) window…..
After – A runner valence adds some softness, pattern and texture to the window.
